A variety of hiking trails are in the area and free to the public. Pick up a sandwich before you go and have a picnic. Don’t forget the water and sunscreen.

BEAR CREEK REGIONAL PARK AND NATURE CENTER is located just 5 miles away. The hike is 7 miles and is rated easy to moderate.

GARDEN OF THE GODS PARK offers a variety of trails. A map can be obtained at the Visitors Center on 30th Street.

MUELLER STATE PARK is located on the backside of Pikes Peak and has 55 miles of trails. The park does have a nominal use fee.

PIKES PEAK BARR TRAIL leads from Manitou Springs to the top of Pikes Peak. This is the same trail used in the Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon in August. This trail is over 13 miles long and has an 8,000 feet increase in altitude. Approximately half way up is Barr Camp should you decide to spend the night.

WALDO CANYON is only 2 miles way and offers a 7 mile moderate hike.
